Why "I Got You?"

This whole fitness and nutrition thing can be very intimidating sometimes.

 

People tend to get stuck on the age old restrictive style of dieting and ultimately develop a poor relationship around food and weight loss because they've been told that order to lose weight, they have to eat fruits and veggies and lean protein and cut out all the foods they love like pasta and pizza and burgers.

 

When I hopped on Tiktok and started creating recipe videos, I always started the video off with something like, "Are you on a fitness journey but you're craving a McDonald's Big Mac? Don't worry boo, you know I got you." Then I would proceed to make a recipe similar to the McDonald's Big Mac in order to help my audience satisfy that craving but in a lower calorie, higher protein way.

 

My audience took to this phrase because it instantly made them feel "normal" for wanting unhealthy foods on their weight loss journey. I wanted to find a way to help my audience find a sense of comfort and safeness, and based on what they tell me, I think I did just that. :)

Recipes range from 2 minutes up to an hour. Most of the recipes can be made in 20 minutes or less.

Every ingredient has a grams measurement as well as a tbs/tsp/cups measurement. There is also an explanation why I prefer to measure in cups on the FAQ page of the cookbook.
